Our Company Levels

It is our policy to offer appropriate opportunities to every child. Placement decisions are derived from many years of teaching experience. Placement is highly individual and the factors that go into the decision are complex.

Mini Company
This company level is for students in grades 2-4 and will focus on ballet, jazz, and hip hop. The class will run for 90 minutes and divided into 1 hour of technique and 30 minutes of rehearsal. Dancers are expected to be in a co-requisite grade level ballet class. They will learn 3-5 pieces of choreography per season.

Junior Company
This company level is for students in grades 4-6 and will focus on ballet, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, and hip hop. The class will run for 2 hours and divided into 1 hour of technique and 1 hour of rehearsal. Dancers are expected to be in a co-requisite grade level ballet class. They will learn 6-7 pieces of choreography per season.

Teen Company
This company level is for students in grades 7-12 and will focus on ballet, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, modern, hip hop, and commercial styles. The class will run for 3 hours and divided into 1.5 hours of technique and 1.5 hours of rehearsal. Dancers are expected to be in a co-requisite grade level ballet class. They will learn 6-9 pieces of choreography per season.

Our Production Groups

Modern Motion Dance Company is composed of like-minded dancers that are looking to focus on improving and strengthening their dance technique, enjoy more performance opportunities, develop as an artist, and participate in community service as a group. These production groups will be focused on one specific style and will be performing alongside the Company at the Company Show in Spring 2025. Students must be invited to participate in the program. Invitations are based on auditions, current class interactions with their teachers (including attitude and work ethic), attendance, commitment to dress code, and interactions with their classmates.

Tap Production
This company is for advanced tap students in grades 2-12 and will focus on technique and choreography in tap. The class will run for 90 minutes and will be divided into 45 minutes of technique and 45 of rehearsal time. Dancers are expected to be in a co-requisite grade level tap class. They will learn 2-3 pieces of choreography per season.
