We're very excited to share our progress toward our new school! First off, let's start with Location, Location, Location.
After five years on Amwell Road, we knew it was important to stay close by and continue to build on the relationships we've been forming with our community. We were delighted to find our new location within the Historic Middlebush Village, just 0.7 miles away! Want to avoid South Middlebush Road? Just take Amwell to Olcott Street, Olcott becomes Railroad Avenue.

We are thrilled to open registration for our 2014-2015 season at Modern Motion Dance School. We are committed to offering great dance classes at great prices with qualified teachers.
As part of our commitment to our dance families, our entire staff will be attending professional developement courses in August to include the latest techniques, choreography, trends in the dance industry, injury prevention, customer care, teaching and child development. In addition to professional development, we continue to invest in great teaching tools and materials. This past year, we invested in a strong techinical ballet syllabus with great results, and over the summer, we'll be strengthening our jazz syllabus. New for 2014-2015, we'll be offering hip hop starting at age 6. Primary Hip Hop will be offered on Saturday afternoons and Hip Hop for dancers in level 1 & 2 will be offered on Friday evenings. We look forward to dancing with you into the new season! Ginger Winter brings storms, ice, and hazardous road conditions so there may be times when we delay or cancel classes. Students can drop-in during another weekly class as a make-up, and in some cases, we will schedule an alternate date for make-up classes.
In addition to using a service to call all numbers entered at the time of registration, we post notices to our website, Facebook, and send emails to those affected. To be sure that you receive information about delays or cancellations, please be sure to update us with your most current contact information. You can also opt to receive text message notifications by texting mmdance to 292929. Please be advised all dance classes for Saturday, January 4th are cancelled. After careful consideration and assessing conditions of icy and untreated surfaces which will persist through the cold temperatures, we have opted for the safety of the dancers, staff, and their families. Rest assured, we will be scheduling make-up classes for all Saturday dancers.
We're having a blast this summer!

We hear from dancers and parents that their tights get runs all the time. Let's face it, children like to run and play and some runs in tights are inevitable. But, there are ways to preserve your tights and get as many uses from them as possible.
Did you know you are supposed to air dry those tights? Is your child in the right size tights? Read more from Pointe Magazine! This award is presented annually to the student who has shown the most growth in class, maintains excellent attendance, is always courteous to classmates, and strives to improve technically.
2013: I. Gummadi 2012: H. Tarantino 2011: R. Shah 2010: Z. McCants Modern Motion Dance School has partnered with Brighton Collectibles in Bridge for their Americana Jewewlry Campaign to raise funds for children and dance.
A Bracelet Supporting Children’s Art Programs is Helping to Make Dreams Come True Brighton’s Americana Jewelry Campaign Empowers Kids’ Art Aspirations in Local Communities Throughout the Nation LOS ANGELES (May 16, 2013) – For the second year in a row, this iconic accessory company – which over the past decade has supported charities with more than $8 million in donations – is turning its focus to donating to a wide range of kids’ charity programs for the arts. These programs will include ballet, orchestra, symphony and other music programs and classes as well as painting. As adults, many of us can recall the exhilaration of giving our first live performance, or discovering the sound that a trombone makes, or the thrill of watching a ballerina stand on pointe the first time. Today, many schools across the country no longer offer children these opportunities. This campaign offers people the chance to ensure that children in their communities have the chance to experience the arts up close – giving the next generation of artists a bright future. At Brighton Collectibles, the company doesn’t simply agree with the maxim “Be the change you wish to see in the world” – they’ve built it into their business by designing jewelry to raise money for non-profit organizations that help people in the communities near their stores, and this initiative is one that Brighton’s owner and design team feel passionate about. As Laura Young, Brighton’s President of Sales and Marketing explains, “I can’t imagine what my life would have been like without the ballet classes I took throughout my school years, the piano lessons and recitals, or learning to paint with oils. My participation in these programs not only gave me an appreciation for the arts, it gave me the confidence to become the person I am today.” For each $58 Independence Charm Holder Bracelet and each $48 Americana I.D. Bracelet sold from May 24th through July 31st, 2013, the company’s 172 Brighton Collectibles stores and participating Brighton retailers will contribute 50% of the retail cost to children’s art charities which will be chosen by the stores in which the bracelets are sold – each store will select a 501 (C) (3) charity program or a local school, ensuring that the programs will benefit their own families, friends and neighbors and strengthen the arts in each community. To find a participating store near you, visit www.brighton.com From January 2011 through June 2013, dedicated dancers ages 7 and older attended weekly rehearsals in addition to their technique classes each week. The company members performede for the community and enjoyd dancing and making new friends. Here's a few highlights of their performances:
