Ginger HaithcoxExecutive Director
Ginger started Modern Motion in 2005 after her college ballet instructor in college encouraged her to pursue founding a nonprofit dance company. Founded in 2010, Modern Motion Dance School had humble beginnings with Monday night classes all taught by Ginger while she built her career in non-profit ministries and youth serving organizations. Her continuing education in dance and studio management include classes at Dance Teacher Summit, the Dancelife Retreat Center, the Studio Expansion program, MusicWorks Dance Teacher Connection, IDEA Business Summit and the Dancelife Teacher Conference. Ginger is a former Leader with the Gold Alliance executive coaching program and a faculty member of the 2022 Dancelife Teacher Conference in Uncasville, CT, Energize Dance Conference 2023, and Creator of the Dance Entrepreneurs Podcast, the Certificate of Dance Entrepreneurship (ideadance.org/cde) and The Studio Ambassador System. She is also holds certification in Digital Photography from eCornell, is a Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach and a certified with ADTA as a Premiere Certified Acro Instructor. |
Kate RaymondDirector of Operations
Kate has been with Modern Motion since its first season in January 2010. She has been passionately involved in the performing arts her entire life - theater, dance, and both vocal and instrumental music. Kate has been involved in countless Community Theater productions, both on-stage and as production staff, of countless theater productions since she was 15, with both children and adults (and sometimes both in the same production). Her passion of the arts has always pushed her to share her love of it and teach kids how special the arts and theater community can be! When Kate is not working for Modern Motion, she is taking care of her two sons, Thomas and Henry, and is excited to pass the love of the arts on to them! |
Angela Brackett Manager of Student Advancement
New Jersey native, Angela’s background is in “Steppin”, Liturgical, Ballet and Contemporary dance. She studied in the Performing Arts program at Raritan Valley Community College and majored in Dance and minored in Cultural Anthropology at CUNY Hunter College. While attending CUNY Hunter College she was a member of the Hunter College Dance Company where she had the opportunity to perform and tour with pieces choreographed by Ronald K. Brown and Robin Dunn. After the completion of her studies she auditioned for New York City based Step Company know as Soul Steps, LLC that she has been a member of for the past 8 years. While in Soul Steps, they toured both nationally and internationally, taught workshops and held residences. Three years ago, Soul Steps along with thirty other women came to form Team Vicious and appeared in Paris Fashion Week, where they “Stomped The Runway” wearing the SS14 line of designer Rick Owens. Angela is the company coordinator for our Teen Company. |
Emily TanisDance Company Coordinator
Emily began dancing at the age of two and continued dancing all throughout college at Rider University. She was a choreographer for both the Rider Dance Team and the Rider Dance Ensemble. Her dancing and choreography have won various national awards throughout her career. She encourages creativity in the classroom and inspires her students to perform their best both on and off the stage. Emily is the Company Coordinator for our Hip Hop and Junior Companies. |
Bonnie TerenziManager of Marketing and Events
Bonnie has been dancing since she was 3 years old, and has studied a multitude of different forms including: Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Musical Theatre, Bollywood, Tahitian, Yorchha, Commercial Dance, Improvisation, and Hip Hop. She has served as a choreographer for over 8 years working on everything from Musical Theatre productions to Dance showcases to Choral choreography at her Alma Mater. She is a member of multiple different societies and organizations including the National Honors Society for Dance Arts and the International Thespian Society. Bonnie is currently working towards her BFA in Dance from Rutgers University and the Mason Gross School of the Arts and will be starting her Masters in Dance Education in the Fall. |

Lynda ChornomazFacility Maintenance Specialist
Lynda started dancing when she was 10 years old with ballet and has since added hip-hop, modern, jazz and musical theater. She has her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre from Montclair State University and enjoys participating in performances whether it be on stage or behind the scenes! In the summer of 2005, Lynda started cleaning homes/offices with Maid Brigade as a summer college job. After graduating college, she continued cleaning as part time work and has done so throughout a life of working as an Accounts Receivable Specialist in an office, participating in community theater, and enjoying life with her husband, Greg and their dog, Cloud. She is currently serving on the board as Secretary at Somerset Valley Playhouse in Hillsborough, NJ. Lynda is very happy she can be of service to keep the dance studio clean as it continues to grow! |
Marielena GuthrieArt Teacher
Marielena is a New Jersey-based artist and a recent graduate from Kean University with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and a minor in Art History. Her work has appeared in four exhibitions at Kean during her time there. Most recently, Marielena collaborated with other artists at Kean in a Student Showcase, Build Wide Then Up. The show highlighted each artist's backstory and cultural roots. Her work takes inspiration from Van Gogh, Matisse and Frida Kahlo and she enjoys working with acrylic paints, watercolor, and color pencils. Marielena is currently working as an Art Teacher’s assistant at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey; interacting and engaging with students in artistic activities; such as ceramics, painting, sculpture, among others. Marielena is excited to join the team at Modern Motion as the school expands its arts offerings. |
JoAna HeniganDance Teacher
JoAna Marie Henigan is a second year student at Rutgers University earning her BFA in dance along with journalism and media studies. She's passionate about using art as a form of social activism and using media as a means to share the message a dance can convey through our modern world. She grew up in Philadelphia, PA studying styles of ballet, jazz, modern, contemporary, tap, and hip hop. She found a passion for teaching through becoming and assistant teacher and sub at local studios. At Rutgers, she's found a passion for jazz and modern styles and expanded into new styles she's never tried before. |
Aishwarya SangubhatlaDance Teacher
Aishwarya has been dancing for 11 years studying ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, pointe, and acro. She has experience working with kids ages 3-13 and has taught ballet, tap, and jazz. She recently graduated with her BA in dance from Rutgers University. Aishwarya is very excited to teach at Modern Motion and pass on her love of dance! |
Madison ScheidelerDance Teacher
Madison Scheideler earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Rutgers University and is a second-year graduate student in their EdM Dance Education program. She is a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts for demonstrating outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in the field of dance. Madison has trained in the Royal Academy of Dance certification program and danced with the World-Famous Donetsk Ballet Company for the Nutcracker. She has also worked with the Ananya Dance Theatre and choreographers such Pam Tanowitz, Michelle Manzanales from Ballet Hispanico and the late Kim Elliott. She is also a choreographer and teacher and an International Talent Winner for three self choreographed modern ballet solos. Madison aspires to perform in a dance company or on Broadway after graduation. Madison teaches various classes at Modern Motion and is the company coordinator for the Junior Company. |
Jackie SchicklingArt Teacher
Jackie has a Bachelor's from Drexel University and a Master's of Fine Arts from Full Sail University. She has studied art in multiple forms for over 15 years including painting, illustration, mapmaking, writing, and filmmaking. Her work has been centered around custom designs for game makers, authors, and charity auctions. Art appreciation is a vital part of her life; one that she strives to pass on to her children. |
